Could someone please explain to me the appeal of Marcel the shell with shoes on? Everyone seems to dig this vid, but I don’t get it. I’ll be at BW3 all day tomorrow getting my drink on, grubbing on wings and watching the official kickoff of the real sports season, but I’m sure I’ll be back early next week with something inane and moronic to say.

Not a whole lot going on this week, but that’s ok. You know why?

That’s right bitches. I think I’m gonna get my gamer geek on with Starcraft II. That is, assuming one of my POS computers can deal with the hardware requirements. I’ve been waiting for this damn game to come out forever. The only one I care about more than this is Diablo 3. But here’s the problem:

I know my laptop can’t deal with this so I’ll have to check my hardware specs on my desktop. Otherwise I’m gonna have to bite the bullet and blow some dough on a new Alienware rig.

As for pool stuff, there’s still a ton of new stuff to go over from the BCA Expo, starting with the fact that McDermott basically shitcanned their entire line, which means I’ve got oodles of new pool cues to review.

In other news, P00lriah decided to do an interview thing with me. I can’t imagine anyone would want to, but if you’re interested in knowing a little more about what makes this basement dwelling troglodyte tick (beyond hot pockets, pool and free porn) you can check it out here. I’m off to break some piggy banks and see what I can do to scrape together enough shiny nickels to get a new rig.

Summer Days, Driftin’ Away

Is it just me or is there a whole lotta nothing going on this summer (pool related anyway). If only there were some stories to tell that were as interesting as what Danny and Sandy had for their pals, but all is extremely quiet on the billiards front. Some of my favorite pool players haven’t blogged in months, there’s nothing of interest (nothing that has been officially reported anyway) in the industry, I never get to watch any pro events on the tube (since DirecTV doesn’t put Classic in my package), meh. The BCA Expo is happening in a couple of weeks, but I’m not expecting to see anything that blows my mind. I might not even bother to go this year.

I’ve got a couple of bees buzzing in the proverbial bonnet, but not enough time to get into them today. Be back tomorrow-ish with something a little less droll.
