Ok, this one has nothing to do with pool but since this is the 5 year anniversary of finally laying down the MMORPG crack pipe (you know, Everquest, World of Warcraft, etc) I present the greatest MMORPG player of all time… Leeroy Jenkins!
I must’ve watched this video a hundred times and the shit still cracks me up. Could I be more of a dweeb?
Every once in a while, something comes up that has nothing to do with pool that I feel I must share with the one or two other people who read this blog. Check this out. Some whackjob in D-Town decided to ruin Halloween for a bunch of kids by telling them that if they supported Barack Obama, she wouldn’t give them candy.
I’ve been thinking about it and I think I’m done reporting on men’s pool. The men don’t really have a tour and more importantly, I just don’t care about men’s pool. They’re never on TV, which means that the only way to see them is watching the IPT or TAR and I really don’t like watching anything on my computer (except porn and YouTube of course).
Speaking of The Action Report (TAR for short), if you haven’t seen this stuff, you should totally check it out. They do a really solid job shooting matches and there is something compelling about watching people go one on one with their own money on the line (and no, TAR isn’t paying me to pimp them… I just dig their stuff). If you’re not convinced, check out their free broadcast of the foxy fashionista OMGWTF taking down three large in the AZ Billiards Death Match.
Ok, I finally got around to doing a MySpace page. I figure since everyone else is doing it, its the only way I can hang out with the cool kids. I assumed that my network wouldn’t reach beyond Tom and Tila Tequila, but then my favorite WPBAer Sarah Rousey agreed to be my friend proving to the billiards world that I do in fact have at least one person who likes my snarky little blog.
Anyway, if you want to see the page, you can check it out at http://www.myspace.com/poolsnark. I’ll take pretty much anyone as a friend, so whether you’re a fan of the blog or someone who wants to tear off my sack like a paper towel feel free to throw an invite.
The billiards industry might be small compared to other sports and hobbies, but there’s quite a bit of stuff to talk about. Considering the number of people who make a living playing this game and the myriad of cues, cases and accessories that are available, it seems like someone should talk about it.
The whole purpose of this site is to review pool cues. There are thousands of cues available from hundreds of manufacturers and I’ll be reviewing them one by one. In addition to cues, I’ll review pool cue cases and accessories as well. I’ll give you the specs, the pros, the cons and my recommendation for whom (if anyone) each pool cue is best suited.
So kick back, browse around and read the reviews. If you have a comment, feel free to leave one but as the man says: “Have a take. Don’t suck.”
