Corey Deuel Wins at Valley Forge

March 24th, 2007 by poolcuereview

Chick Magnet Corey Deuel

Corey won a title. Its his first win since the 2005 UPA championships, Deuel made it by the likes of Mika Immonen and Rodney Morris to beat Ronnie Wiseman in the finals and pick up a check for $12,000. Word has it that Deuel chose not to go the Dennis Hatch route after the event. For those not so lucky to attend the 2006 Super Billiards Expo, you missed Hatch stumbling into the Blue Grotto bar at the always classy Scanticon Hotel offering up a $10,000 money game to anyone who would listen and then proceeded to get into a shouting/shoving match with Keith McCready and others.

Now that Deuel is back on the winning track, maybe he’ll focus on getting himself a sponsor. Last I heard, he was being sponsored by Jacoby cues, but that clearly didn’t last as he’s no longer listed as a player rep on the Jacoby website.
