I had this whole plan to get back to writing about the WPBA.  I was pumped about their first event in 4 months.  So I go to the WPBA website, click on the US Open brackets link and get this:

Don’t get me wrong here.  I’m not looking to kick anyone in the junk, I just don’t get how this stuff happens, especially with something like a .pdf.  I mean you can create the thing, upload it and link it, so there’s no reason to put up a test page like this.  Seriously, how hard is it to take a template that’s already been made, type in the new names and upload it?  Clearly whoever is in charge knows how to upload since they put the “test” page on the server.

I’m going to give a step by step walkthrough in the hopes that maybe someone will get an actual bracket up before the AM matches start:

Step 1: Grab the .pdf from the 2009 US Open
Step 2: Open it in Adobe Acrobat
Step 3: Clear out all the text from the 2009 bracket
Step 4: Enter the names of the participants in the 2010 US Open
Step 5: Upload
Step 6: Link

Meh. Whatev.  I guess this is what happens when you don’t have anyone in charge of anything. Maybe they can convince Anne Craig to donate some time to help them out (as she’s attending the event).
