No MSM Friday today since there’s a WPBA tournament going on.  Oh, and the latest edition of SATSQ will be a little late since I owe a certain someone a list of questions (I’ve been both distracted and lazy as of late).

Ok, the first day of the US Open is officially in the books.  In case you were wondering, Burn Notice was asskickingly awesome as usual.  No big surprises in the 2nd round, but two of my favorites are going to have to run the losers bracket gauntlet in order to make the redraw.

Here’s how it breaks down: SWMNBN is going up against Susan Williams, then will face either Melinda Bailey or Megan Smith.  Assuming she makes it through, she’ll likely pull Kyoko Sone (who is apparently playing, an oversight on my part), as Sone will get trucked by XTP.  Liz Ford will face the either Kim Pierce or Brianna Miller next.  After that, its either Melissa Morris, Jennifer Kraber or Kim Pierce.  Then its off to face Julie Kelly who will likely get knocked over to the losers bracket by Kelly Fisher.

As for my little Texas (now the only Ten I See), she’s got a long day ahead of her.  Ashley pulls a beatable Cathy Metzinger in her first match today, then will face Angel Paglia.  If she gets past those two, she’ll have Ewa, Denise Balenger or Niki Rasmussen.  After that, its the loser of the Villarreal/Little match.  A tough road to haul for sure.

Ok, matches start at 8AM so I’ll see you on the stream.  Oh, that’s right.  Not enough bandwidth for a stream.  Well, I think the Jetsons are on Boomerang, so I guess I’ll watch that instead of live WPBA action.  On the plus side, it does appear that the WPBA got their copy of Adobe Acrobat working and are posting regular updates.  The WPBA’s brackets can be found here and now have the most updated information.  Hooray 90s technology!!!
