9 Ball China Thing
Apparently there’s some event going on in China. I hear there’s a stream somewhere, but I can’t read Chinese and don’t feel like trying to figure it out, so I haven’t really been watching. Not surprisingly, all the ladies from the states got completely worked. I think they take pool a little more seriously over there than they do here.
Anyway, the only non-Asian name that’s left is Karen the Librarian. Jasmin, #5 and Liz Ford all got bounced in the round of 32, so at least they got paid (although I doubt it was enough to cover their expenses). Yu Ram and XTP are still in it along with a bunch of people I’ve never heard of.
Meh.
Corr is one tough cookie and I would like to see her take it down – when Jasmin gets as tough as Corr look out!
I really thought Jasmin was done with this losing to inferior players crap. Pretty surprised she got bounced so quickly.

I was far from worked! I beat the Taiwanese winner of the China Open in the first round, lost to XTP in a surprise TV match, beat one of the Chinese players to make the redraw before losing to another top Chinese player. So, suck it:) Especially given my vast improvement over my performance in the 2008 World Champs in Taiwan.
Come on now, you’ve gotta admit that no Americans making past the round of 32 is getting a little bit worked.
In all seriousness though, making it to the redraw was far from shabby. Glad to hear you’re back in the states though. You know I’m looking forward to seeing you break through next year.
