Winner, Winner, Cruller Dinner
Well, it seems that someone owes me a virtual orange mocha cappuccino and someone else owes me some delicious breakfast pastry. My little buddy Freckles hooked me up and dropped Monica Webb, making her first redraw, guaranteeing her a spot on the tour next year and most importantly, making my prediction of another underwhelming performance by Monica Webb come true.
Seriously, I couldn’t be happier for Michell Monk. The girl’s been working her ass off this year and earned every bit of that 9th place finish. She’s had some of the toughest draws in every tournament she’s played in but still managed some solid finishers.
Also, another very solid performance by Liz Ford. She had the unfortunate luck of having to play in an elimination match against #1 Ga Young Kim after having to play Karen Corr. Liz finished the season really strong and I’m looking forward to seeing her make at least a couple of redraws in 2010.
As for predictions, I’ve got to go with Jasmin Ouschan. She’s got two wins this season and finally seems to be ready to take the crown that’s been waiting for her for the last two years. She should crush J-Thug and face Kelly Fisher or XTP in the finals.

Ah, a delicious cappuccino is all that is necessary Ms. B. Just so you know, I don’t take any pleasure in watching Monica continue to flush her talent away. She’s got serious chops at the table, she just needs to take a look at what she’s been doing the past few months and think about how she got to the top and who helped get her there. From what I’ve been hearing, her focus is on anything but playing pool.
On another note, I was expecting to see you in the redraw this time. Losing to Angel? You know you’re better than that.
