Look Out Mainstream Media, Billiards Is Coming
What constitutes mainstream “news” for the billiards industry? According to the BCA, it doesn’t take much. I took a look at the latest BCA update and they have the following as the big MSM billiards coverage:
Then to top it off,they re-run the year old picture of Obama playing pool with his behind the back “trick” shot. Yep, that’s it. They had other links in their “Billiards Headlines” section, but they’re all from industry websites, so they hardly count as MSM.
To recap, mainstream billiards coverage consists of a very brief mention of some guy no one’s ever heard of (with the BCA calling him an “Industry Insider”) and two articles about people getting assaulted with billiards equipment (albeit in self defense). A couple more stories like this and I’m putting the Threat-o-Meter back in the red.
