WPBA Quarterfinals
Since all the quarters are being televised by ESPN (along with the semis and the finals), the WPBA had to cram in the redraw and 4th round matches in last night. I was too bummed to keep watching after seeing Sarah drop a heartbreaker to Jasmin Ouschan to keep watching, but apparently here’s how the quarterfinals are set up:
Jasmin Ouschan vs. Line Kjorsvik
Allison Fisher vs. Ga Young Kim
Karen Corr vs. Jennifer Chen
Gerda Hofstatter vs. Xiaoting Pan
The way I see it is Jasmin vs. GYK and Karen vs. XTP in the semifinals with Jasmin over GYK and XTP over Karen to set up a Jasmin vs. XTP finals. When its all said and done though, it should be Xiaoting Pan holding up her first trophy for 2009. Then again, you all know what my prognosticating skills are like, so the smart money is betting the opposite of whatever I say.
Line “hey this is a lot tougher than Norway” vs Jasmin – this is a real tester for Line ( she almost dropped the ball playing GYK – (she usually
does) and perhaps this will be a real fight to the end (Hill Hill).
