Borana Bitchslaps the Boys

Tuesday, June 23, 2009

Sorry, I’m in a bit of an alliteration kind of mood, but the title seems appropriate, no?  So here’s the deal.  The mega-sexy lady in the picture below rolled into the Tri-State Tour, sized up the competition and steamrolled ‘em.  Borana went through the entire event without losing a match, torching anyone who made the mistake of thinking a lady this fine can’t play pool.

Not only did Ms. Andoni take home a cool five hundo, but she also got some good tournament style practice in for the upcoming WPBA satellite event of which I hear she’s taking part in.  See guys, this is why you don’t just assume if someone is foxy they can’t play pool.

Congrats to Borana Andoni on the win!

Not to take anything away from Miss Andoni and a good tournament win, congratulations, but it was a 32 person handicapped C/D tournament with no shot clock. (Miss Andoni has a tendency to play rather slowly – well over 45 seconds a shot – as does most of her teammates.) You are making it sound like she’s won an open event which she did not.

I think the WPBA satellite event is going to be significantly tougher.

I think the satellite event is going to be an excellent measure of where many of the up and coming and regional players are with their game. With the field including Kelly Fisher, Allison Fisher, Sarah Rousey, Gerda Hofstatter and Monica Webb, there’s going to be some rough going for a lot of players. I wouldn’t be surprised to see a few lesser known names work their way into the quarterfinals though.

Yeah, PCN should add that all the players in the tournament were walking dead men. If you are not trying to take away her win then you are doing a terrible job of it. So just shut up.

If you are coming to this site for real pool news than you have been mistaken. I love this site but this is not where I go for the most accurate information. This a blog. Maybe you should be going to AZBILLIARDS and if you have a problem with the tournament write ups then contact the Tri-State Tour.

If she or anyone is playing too slow than the opponent should go call the shot clock immediately. I would not hesitate to do it no matter who it is. Johnny Archer and Jeremy Jones play slow, but that most be okay since they are pros. I have seen Miss Andoni play and if she is playing slow it is because she is not sure what to do. Whereas these great pros are powdering up their shaft and wiping their shaft and picking lint off the floor. But that must be okay since they are professionals.

Hey! Miss Andoni’s a GREAT player! Her and the NYC Hottie Mafia are probably some of the best Amateur women players in the New York area! Well, except for that Annie Flores who bitch slapped the boys in a C/D Tri-State event back in Oct/08 and who’s already won a WPBA qualifier…but other than her, they’re the best! You’ve totally misunderstood my post! Geez!

if the satellite’s a wpba event then i think a shot clock might be in effect. not sure when they start it, maybe by how many games are on the wire after a specific time, but it can play a factor. it did in supi’s match in michigan city.
