And Another One Gone, Another One Bites the Dust…

See, its not only the guys who can get kicked in the junk.  It appears that the Jacoby Great Lakes Tour is dumping the ladies tour.  According to their website, the tour is done with being a ladies regional tour and will be changing to an open 10 ball tour.  David Hanshaw responded to this on the AZ Billiards Forum with the following statement: “I really enjoyed working with the ladies that were interested in participating in the regional tour. Second and most importantly the turn outs were just horrible it wasn’t fair to the sponsors, the host room or me.”

In other news, Mike Janis, the guy who runs the Viking Tour, has called off his new ATS Tour.  According to the article, Janis was quoted as saying the following: “I have been deeply touched by the support we have received from all that have heard about the ATS, and I assure everyone that I am very sad to have to make this decision.  I want everyone to know that this decision rests solely upon my shoulders, and I feel it is in the best interests to not go forward with the new tour.”

Far be it for me to only report on the negative though.  The new Carolina Ladies Tour will be kicking off this weekend in Arden, North Carolina.  Hopefully that one will have some legs.

And you guys wonder why the PCN Threat-o-Meter is still sitting on extreme…
