Pool Cue News and Review

Shilling for the Ladies as Often as Possible…

Dear Jeanette

Q. Hey Jeanette, how should we cure the malaise that’s running through the billiards industry?

A. Let’s skank it up!

Apparently, Jeanette Lee thinks that a great way to cure pool’s woes is to embrace the sleazy hustling side of pool. When asked in her monthly “Ask Jeanette Lee” column in Billiards Digest the question of whether or not the industry should embrace gambling, her response was “I actually do agree that we should embrace the mystique of the ‘hustling’ side of pool”. I guess we shouldn’t be surprised by this though since Jeanette is the ultimate hustler. She’s convinced companies like Rocawear that she is the face of pool, even though she can’t make it out of the second round in a WPBA tournament. If that isn’t hustling, I don’t know what is.

Look, I totally get the “embracing what you are” concept. It worked wonders for Las Vegas, but that’s different. Hustling is all about taking advantage of people and tricking them into losing money. With Vegas you know what you’re getting into. Jeanette’s suggestion that the industry “embrace hustling” is quite possibly one of the stupidest comments I’ve ever heard from a pool player. After all, what could be more fun than going to a pool hall and getting suckered out of your cash. Way to go Jeanette! Keep those ideas flowing!
