WPBA San Diego Classic - Round of Sixteen Matchups

Well, the round of 16 is set and while none of my favorites made it, there are some very interesting matchups that will hopefully (for the sake of the WPBA) make for good TV. Ladies and Gentlemen, here are your “sweet” sixteen:
Allison Fisher vs. Cathy Metzinger
Melissa Herndon vs. Helena Thornfeldt
Anna Kostanian vs. My-Hanh Lac
Karen Corr vs. Vivian Villarreal
Xiaoting Pan vs. Kelly Fisher(c)
Monica Webb vs. Gerda Hofstatter
Sarah Ellerby vs. Caroline Pao
Ga Young Kim vs. Eleanor Callado
Predictions? Obviously the Fishers are the obvious choice, but My-Hanh Lac is an interesting sleeper choice. After a disastrous first game, Lac has turned it on, beating Jeanette Lee, Jasmin Ouschan and Julie Kelly to make it this far. I’d love to see Anna Kostanian make the TV round as well, but I don’t see her beating My-Hanh Lac to get there.
