WPBA Announces New Point Ranking System

In order to catch up with the times as well as other ranking systems like the Billiards Digest player ranking system, the WPBA has changed its scoring format. According to a letter from WBPA President Linda Chen, points will be awarded based on the tournament level (classic or major) and will award different levels of points based on performance. While White likens this to the WTA, PGA and NASCAR scoring systems, I’m not quite sure its all that impressive.
